《國際產業》開發新顯示器，亞馬遜買三星Liquavista

【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】為開發新型行動裝置螢幕，亞馬遜周一宣布已向三星電子收購顯示器技術事業Liquavista公司。此外，亞馬遜亦同步推出自家的數位貨幣--亞馬遜幣（Amazon Coins），可以在亞馬遜應用程式商店與Kindle Fire平板電腦上採購軟體或遊戲。

亞馬遜未公開Liquavista公司的收購價格。彭博社今年初曾報導，三星求售的價格不到1億美元。三星在2011年初收購這家荷蘭企業，金額不詳。

Liquavista公司主要投入電溼式(Electo-wetting)顯示技術的開發。這項面板技術號稱在所有照明條件下，都能提高螢幕清晰度，且毋需使用太多電力即可播放影片，除可運用於電子書閱讀器、智慧型手機、GPS設備、攜帶式媒體播放器與相機等行動裝置外，未來亦可望用於筆記型電腦與電視等螢幕尺寸較大的產品上。
