重罰奏效？前8月酒駕致死人數降35％

今年三月一日起提高酒後駕車罰鍰後，酒駕肇事死亡人數明顯降低，根據內政部警政署統計，今年一至八月酒駕肇事死亡人數一百六十五人，較去年同期下降三十五％（減少八十九人）；警政署表示，各項防制作為與取締酒駕勤務都將持續規劃執行。

今年道路交通管理處罰條例第三十五條新規定自三月一日開始實施後，提高各等級酒精濃度罰鍰，最重可處新台幣九萬元；並於六月十三日將駕駛人酒精濃度值定為呼氣酒精濃度達每公升○點二五毫克，或血液酒精濃度達○點○五％以上，可處兩年以下有期徒刑；另外，酒駕肇事致死或致重傷者最重分別可處十年或七年以下有期徒刑。

警政府表示，每月將持續進行全國同步取締酒駕勤務，針對各縣市轄內易發生酒駕或肇事路段與時段，規劃勤務部署落實「區域聯防」機制；落實「指定駕駛」等措施。
