錢韋杉6歲的大兒子邱靖，接觸高爾夫球短短2年半，發揮運動天份，本月5日參加U.S. Kids Golf World Championship，以9洞36桿佳績拿下台灣區6歲組冠軍，8月1日將代表台灣赴美與來自世界33國選手一較球技。

錢韋杉說，邱靖4歲陪玩高爾夫球，結果一玩玩出興趣，打到不想回家，她因此平均月花費約2萬多元栽培兒子，也曾讓邱靖接受高球天后曾雅妮上過的澳洲HILLS高爾夫學校教練團訓練。看著兒子手拿冠軍獎盃，錢韋杉眼泛淚光說：「他之前才因換桿手感變差陷低潮，很擔心他就此放棄了。」
