智慧行動裝置的勢力依舊在全球快速成長，而其中威力最強大的，仍屬 Android 裝置。據 Canalys 研究報告指出，全球第 1 季行動裝置出貨量約 3.087 億台，較去年同期成長達 37.4%，其中近 6 成為 Android 裝置。

《ZDNet》報導，Canalys 所定義的行動裝置，包括筆電、平板及智慧手機，其中平板的成長速度最為快速，同比成長 106.01%，出貨約 4190 萬台。蘋果這一季雖然未推出新版本的 iPad 或 iPad mini，還是在平板稱霸，全球市占達 46.4%。

相較之下，智慧手機出貨為 2.613 億部，同比增長 47.9%，筆電出貨 5050 萬台，較去年同期下滑 13.1%。

將 3 項裝置合併計算，Android 行動裝置市占最高，達 59.5%，而蘋果的作業系統排名居次，占 19.3%，微軟系統靠筆電優勢，占 18.1%，位居第 3。
