懷特新藥 獲歐洲專利

上市股懷特生技(4108)今宣布，該公司所開發的骨質疏鬆症新藥「懷特骨寶」獲歐洲專利局核准，全球專利布局再下一城。此新藥已在全球4大洲主要市場取得專利，獲美國、澳洲、台灣、日本及加拿大專利保護，整體布局完整，搶攻全球百億美元市場商機。

該公司表示，懷特骨寶已完成美國FDA(食品藥物管理局)核准用於預防骨質疏鬆症的二期臨床試驗(Phase IIa)，結果正面，經臨床前藥理試驗及二期臨床試驗證實具有提升骨質生成及抑制骨質流失之雙重作用(dual effect)，且無現有骨質疏鬆症藥物常見之副作用，成功開發後可望突破目前西藥治療骨質疏鬆症之瓶頸，提供骨質疏鬆症病患及醫師一個安全有效的新選擇。

除歐美市場外，懷特骨寶更獲選為衛生署食品藥物管理局「兩岸藥品研發合作專案試辦計畫」之指標案例，未來將在兩岸同步申請關鍵性的Phase IIb多中心新藥臨床試驗，促使此藥品得以提早進入中國大陸市場。
