傳倦勤 美否認駐敘利亞大使將異動

儘管報導傳言，美國駐敘利亞大使福特(Robert Ford)即將去職，但美國國務院發言人莎琪(Jen Psaki)29日表示，福特將會繼續他的職務，其中包括和敘利亞反對派的會談。

莎琪說，福特大使目前正在伊斯坦堡，他將在每一天為了敘利亞人民的利益，持續辦理美國國務卿凱瑞(John Kerry)在敘利亞的緊急任務。，莎琪表示，福特將持續他的工作，美方目前並沒有其他宣布。

中東政治評論網站Al-Monitor稍早前引述匿名消息來源報導，福特可能會在7月去職。報導中說，在致力化解敘利亞問題近3年，包括團結分裂的敘利亞反對派系之後，福特已經感到精疲力竭。
