傳華碩將推最薄平板 僅6毫米厚

匈牙利科技網站《Tech2》周一 (29 日) 報導，台灣電腦大廠華碩 (Asus)(2357-TW) 正計畫推出一台目前市面上最薄的平板電腦，厚度僅 6 毫米，超越索尼 (Sony)(6758-JP) 的 Xperia Tablet Z。

報導引述一主要製造商員工透露上述「最高機密」。不過，這款華碩新超薄平板尺寸究竟是 7 吋、8 吋甚至是 10 吋，以及採用的是 Google (GOOG-US) Android 作業系統或微軟 (Microsoft)(MSFT-US) Windows 作業系統，仍是未知數。

《Phone Arena》報導，目前市面上最薄的平板電腦，是厚度 6.9毫米 (0.27 吋)的索尼 10.1 吋 Xperia Tablet Z。

《Tech2》則指出，超薄正成為行動產品製造商欲爭奪的市場特色之一。除了華為 (Huawei) 推出最薄智慧手機──厚度僅 6.2 毫米 (0.24 吋) 的 Ascend P6，多款 Windows 平板也以超薄為特色，例如三星 (Samsung)(005930-KR) 的 Tab Ativan 3。如今，華碩似乎也決定加入這場戰局。
