父母禁用臉書 印度少女上吊亡

青少年耽溺於社群網站，鬧出人命。印度一名17歲少女因為父母不准她上臉書（Facebook），因此選擇上吊自殺抗議。

住在馬哈拉什特拉邦帕爾巴尼的艾絲瓦爾雅.達希瓦（Aiswarya Dahiwal），在一所學院就讀。她23日想上臉書遭到父母禁止，父母說她花太多時間和朋友講手機聊天，並希望她把注意力擺在學校課業上，不要老是上網掛在臉書上。

艾絲瓦爾雅和爸媽爭執過後回到房間，24日清晨被父母發現上吊自殺死亡。她在房內留下字條說，受父母限制感覺遭到軟禁：「上臉書真有那麼糟糕嗎？我沒辦法待在限制這麼多的家裡，沒有臉書我活不下去。」

艾絲瓦爾雅的父親接受媒體訪問時說，家人大受震驚，他們只希望她多專注課業，無法想像她會採取這樣殘酷的方式。警方表示，她的雙親就像一般家長一樣，害怕孩子走偏，沒想到她會因此結束自己的生命。

據媒體報導，臉書是印度青少年最偏愛的溝通橋樑，甚至超過手機。印度的臉書使用人口，預估到年底前會突破2億人。
